PUBLIC SCHOOLS IN ESSEX

The Essex public school system is served by the Region 4 School District has approximately 2200 total students which maintains five public schools and also provides educational services in Chester and Deep River. Essex residents attend Essex Elementary School (Kindergarten to 6th grade), middle school students attend John Winthrop Middle School (7th to 8th grade) and high school students attend Valley Regional High School (9th to 12th grade).
